4. How long does a bed last?
There are no rules defining how long a bed should last. However, a good bed is expected to last between 10-15 years, although top-quality beds can sometime exceed this. It is more important that your bed is comfortable and supportive while it lasts. The Sleep Council recommends changing your bed every 7-10 years.
5. Is there anything else I should know about my new bed?
If your old bed was 10 years old or more, the springs will have softened with constant use, particularly in the hip and shoulder areas, and your body will have adjusted to this over the years. Any new bed will therefore feel firmer and will take a little time to adjust to. It’s not unlike a new pair of shoes. Continual use, flexing and movement will imperceptibly change the feel until - almost unnoticed - they’re as comfortable and familiar as a favourite pair of slippers. This is just as true of beds.

Vi-Spring Guarantee FAQs
1. How long is the guarantee valid?
All Vi-Spring mattresses are guaranteed against manufacturing faults for the lifetime of the bed – this does not include normal wear and tear. See certificate for full terms and conditions.
2. What is the optimum turning frequency for your mattress?
There is no need to turn a Vi-Spring mattress regularly. The mattress does benefit from occasional turning during the first few months of use (this allows the fillings to settle evenly to provide the ultimate level of support).
3. Can the mattress be cleaned?
No. We do not recommend any wet cleaning of the mattress as this can damage the upholstery fillings within the mattress.
