Box Spring Construction
The Viceroy Bed Spring is constructed with two layers of springs - the top layer is 1,410 hand nested calico-pocketed springs, on top of a lower layer of heavy duty open coil springs. The spring combination is mounted on a screwed and glued solid timber frame. The box spring frame is covered with insulated wadding, and the ticking case is cambric lined for added protection.
Bed Spring Upholstery
The bed spring upholstery is made up of 3.9 oz/sq.ft hair needle-teased onto hessian overlaid with 3.9 oz/sq.ft of blended lambswool and cotton. Covered with your choice of finest quality Belgian ticking from our Collection, click here for details. Hand tufted with with hand-tied woollen tufts and twine.
Skirts are fitted as standard (on three visible sides of box spring base).
Please note - all box springs are supplied with castors and fittings for a UK style strutted headboard unless specified otherwise when ordered. Other options are available; please click here for details.
