Vispring celebrated its return to Decorex International this year, after a seven year absence, by collaborating with the very talented design team from Hill House Interiors.
As well as designing the Vispring stand, the Hill House team created a bespoke headboard, which was handmade by skilled craftsmen at our factory in Devon. The headboard was the perfect example of understated elegance and was partnered with our exclusive mattresses and divans; many visitors to the stand commented on the glamorous design and indulgent fabric.
Also on display was a section of Vispring’s famous ‘Jigsaw’ mattress, demonstrating our ability to create beds to any shape and design specification – the ultimate luxury.
Decorex International is the world’s biggest and best trade fair that is dedicated to the luxury interior design industry and this year the show returned to its original location – the beautiful and historic Syon Park. We were in great company, with more than 400 brands exhibiting. We particularly loved the dramatic entrance hall, which was themed around A Rake’s Progress; a series of eight paintings by 18th century English artist William Hogarth. The series depicted the decline and fall of Tom Rakewell, the spendthrift son and heir of a rich merchant, who comes to London, wastes all his money on luxurious living, prostitution and gambling, and as a consequence is imprisoned in the Fleet Prison and ultimately Bethlehem Hospital, or Bedlam. The entrance certainly evoked a luxurious feel to the show before you even entered the main exhibition hall.
