VISPRING APPOINTS NEW MANAGING DIRECTOR AND OPERATIONS DIRECTOR
Vispring, the Plymouth-based luxury mattress and bed manufacturer owned by the Spanish Flex Bedding Group, has announced new senior appointments to the business.
Martin Gill has been appointed Managing Director following the retirement of Jim Gerety, who has been Managing Director since 2016. Martin has been Managing Director of Vispring’s sister company And So to Bed since 2017 and will now lead both companies. Martin comes with a solid track record in the furniture industry having been Global Sales Director and UK Managing Director for German kitchen manufacturer Poggenpohl.
Commenting on his new role, Gill says: ‘Having had the privilege to lead AND SO TO BED during the last 5 years, I am honoured and excited to be entrusted with taking on this prestigious role at Vispring. My aim is very simple, to continue building the awareness and success of what is a truly historic Luxury British Brand, both within the UK and internationally. I will look to drive more of what we are great at – producing the finest quality mattresses – whilst working with our partners to deliver a world class service around the globe.’
Gill adds: ‘The Vispring team, from the craftsmen and women in Plymouth to our ambassadors worldwide, are the heartbeat of the brand and the key to our success. Together we will leave no stone unturned in our quest for perfection, to ensure that our customers sleep perfectly and tell their friends.’
Thomas Staddon also joins Vispring as Operations Director and will take over the helm of the company’s Plymouth factory from Chris Harrison, who has retired after 40 years in the business. Thomas has extensive experience within both production and operations, with over ten years at Princess Yachts and most recently five years at Babcock International Group.
