TRY BEFORE YOU BUY Finding your ideal level of support and cushioning takes time. It’s always best to test each bed for at least 10 minutes by lying down in the position that you usually sleep in, and turning over a few times. Try a few in order to determine which one is the perfect option for you. You spend a third of your life in bed — take your time when deciding which one to buy.

Understanding the positions our bodies find themselves in during sleeping hours is crucial and helps steer you towards the correct tension, spring count, or fillings. If you share a bed with a partner, you need to think about sleep style compatibility too; you may, for example, find a split tension mattress will guarantee a more restful slumber — for both of you.

SOFT – Up to 154lb. (70kg)

A HANDY CHECK When you’ve taken everything else into consideration and you’re 90% sure which mattress seems like the best choice, it’s time to check the support. If the mattress is too firm, you’ll be able to slide your hand easily between the mattress and the hollow of your back. If the mattress is too soft, sliding your hand beneath your back won’t be possible. Relax, take your time and let your body decide what’s right for you.
