Groove Footboard

"Groove is such a good word! Particularly in my early misadventures in music and in clubs—stories for another day—but here we use it to describe the furrow that occurs in quilting or deep buttoning, where textile and padding are sewn, stapled, or nailed in place to provide maximum comfort where needed. The results of using this as both a decorative and functional device are evident in the Groove head and footboards, where boldly expressed corrugations form a linear pattern reminiscent of the Art Deco era—when Vispring, in full entrepreneurial innovation, invented the pocket spring." -Tom Dixon
