At Home With: Pearl Lowe

10 September 2026

To launch the new series, we sat down with Pearl Lowe, a British fashion and textiles designer, author and creative known for her distinctive approach to vintage-inspired design and interiors.

Originally a singer-songwriter, Pearl transitioned into design in the early 2000s, establishing her eponymous label with a collection of lace curtains and cushions before expanding into fashion, childrenswear, homewares and interior design. Her work is characterised by a love of vintage, craftsmanship, colour and individuality, reflected in her richly layered, romantic interiors and handmade designs.

She is also the author of several books exploring craft, interiors and the art of creating a home with character.

Pearl also shared her sleep must-haves, revealing that a “hot lavender bath” is an essential part of her bedtime routine. We delved deeper into her sleeping habits, including a time when she experienced the least amount of sleep in her life. Recalling her time at Glastonbury Festival, Pearl said:

“Once I went to Glastonbury Festival. I think I got there on the Friday and I think I was still up on the Monday. I think that’s the longest time I haven’t been to sleep, and it was pretty horrific because then I got in my car and the battery was flat.”

Now that she is older, Pearl admits that her sleeping habits have changed considerably. As she puts it: “When I hit 50, I get to bed at 9 and get up at 6.”
