From Shetland to Vispring
For over a decade, Vispring has proudly partnered with Shetland's farming community, incorporating Real Shetland Wool into a select number of its handcrafted, luxury beds. It is a relationship founded on shared values: a commitment to craftsmanship, respect for natural materials, and an appreciation of the people behind every stage of production.
From the windswept crofts where the sheep graze freely across the islands, to the grading floor where every fleece is carefully assessed, each strand of wool carries a story. It is a story of skill, stewardship and pride, passed down through generations and preserved through the dedication of those who continue this tradition today.
As Thomas Staddon, Operations Director at Vispring, explains:
"There's good wool, and then there's the best, which is why we use Real Shetland Wool in our beds. Provenance is also important to Vispring, knowing where the farms and, the people that we source from and I want to continue to build on that relationship."
This commitment to provenance has never been more important. As consumers increasingly seek transparency and authenticity, understanding where materials come from and how they are produced has become essential. For Vispring, sourcing exceptional natural fibres means more than selecting the finest materials; it means championing communities, supporting traditional skills and maintaining meaningful connections throughout the supply chain.
